Originally from Aarvelia, Kal has recently been spending a lot of time between Athelen - where she lives with her parents and helps with the Signatorium's Chorus of Inespi - and Evermire, where she's taken up intermittent residence at the local Tavern. In Athelen, her father, Dr. Emmanual Halbast, is a zoology professor who specializes in animal behavior and works at Aphinast University. Their dad, Earnest Greenvelt, recently finished up a contract in Venalia and is looking to join Aphinast's research program utilizing his academic specialty in botany. While Kal loves their parents, she can occasionally find them to be a bit smothering. Therefore, Kal has been spending an increasing amount of their free time time at Aphinast's stables, where they have become good friends with Trishan, one of the handlers who works with the creatures there. With Trishan's encouragement, they have been working with some of Aphinast's horses, occasionally entering into dressage competitions.
